With the exception of the handicap accessible kayak launch, the hose bib and some other minor work, the Earl Newhouse construction project is almost complete. The kayak launch will be delivered the first week of August. The site will open to visitors on Friday 7/22/22 at dawn. Porta-potties are being delivered and will be in place by Friday. When the launch is delivered the site will need to reclose for a couple of days for the kayak launch installation. The construction fence remains at Williams St. until the fence is complete. A DPW sign flashing “OPEN” will be at the Pleasant Street entrance. The DPW facilities department will open the site at dawn Monday – Friday, & close the site at dusk Monday -Thursday. The Police Department will close the site Fridays at dusk and open & close the site Saturdays & Sundays. The Earl Newhouse Waterfront is open dawn to dusk.
