[ARCHIVED] Canton Climate Resiliency Flood Mitigation Public Meeting

Meeting 1 Flyer_Final

Join the Town of Canton for an interactive virtual public meeting to discuss its flood mitigation efforts as part of the Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) grant program on Tuesday, March 23 from 7 to 8 p.m. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts developed the MVP Action Grant program to provide financial resources for municipalities, including Canton, to prepare for the challenges associated with climate change. Canton faces flooding challenges during heavy rainfall events and is applying its MVP grant to identify areas with high flood risk and develop a prioritized action plan to mitigate these risks using nature-based solutions.

This is an interactive meeting where attendees will have the opportunity to share input on flooding. Pre-registration for the meeting is required and can be done at: tinyurl.com/57nxyzyh. Registrants will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win:

  • One of two $25 certificates to Copper City Espresso
  • $50 certificate to Northern Spy Restaurant
  • A rain barrel (valued at $110; assembly is winner’s responsibility)

Raffle winners will be announced at the end of the meeting; registrants must be present to win.
