The Department of environmental Protection is requiring Canton to implement a mandatory outdoor water outdoor conservation measures from May 1 to September 30. Use of an irrigation system and sprinkler is limited to no more than twice a week and must take place between 5 pm and 9 am. Watering of lawns, gardens, flowers, and plants with a hand-held hose is permitted between 5 pm and 9 am. No watering is allowed between 9 am and 5 pm.
