The Board of Selectmen's office received the following message regarding upcoming night work on Dedham Street:
The project team wanted to reach out with an update on the Dedham Street job. We were just informed yesterday that one of the two ongoing utility relocations has been completed by Verizon which has opened up more work at University Road and the West Abutment of Amtrak.
With that being said we are in the process of remobilizing one the subcontractors to the jobsite to start on support of excavation work at University Road. Work will be performed at night between April 17, 2018 and April 27, 2018 to install additional traffic control devices and to drive support of excavation piles. The eastbound lane of Dedham Street will be closed to create a safe work zone. Once the piles are driven, concrete barrier will be placed to delineate the work zone at the end of each night shift. These shifts will occur between 8:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. During daytime hours, both directions of Dedham Street will be open to traffic.
