Lamparelli Oil is conducting maintenance on its 30,000 gallon propane tank located behind the building located at 1026 Turnpike Street. The liquid propane has been pumped out but the vapors must be evacuated to perform the work safely. This may cause an odor of gas in the area. The vapors are burned off via the top vent. The Canton Fire Department is on site standing by while the contractor performs the work. The work should be done by end of business today, June 22, 2017.
