The Canton DPW is continuing to work with Bell Traffic Control to ensure that the new traffic signals at Chapman/Washington, and Pleasant/Washington are working to optimum efficiency. As previously communicated, the in-pavement traffic loop wire at Chapman/Washington is partially damaged and must be fixed. Bell Traffic has found that the loop at Pleasant/Washington is also damaged. (This loop was not part of the project scope of work as it is outside of the construction zone.) We are endeavoring to have the loop repair done next week. After the loops are repaired, the developer will have their traffic engineer on site to observe and identify any changes to improve the signal coordination.
