[ARCHIVED] Eversource Walpole to Holbrook Line Project Meeting

The Massachusetts Energy Facilities Siting Board (EFSB) has scheduled a public meeting for the proposed Walpole to Holbrook Line Project. The meeting will be held on December 16th at 7:00PM at Stoughton High School located at 232 Pearl Street, Stoughton. The Project is a proposed overhead 115kV transmission line that connects Eversource’s Walpole substation, passing through Walpole, Sharon, Canton, Stoughton, Avon, Randolph and Holbrook on existing Right of Way, to Eversource's Holbrook substation. It is a vital part of the Greater Boston and New Hampshire Solution, a set of transmission projects undertaken by Eversource and National Grid that address system-wide electric reliability and capacity needs, as determined by the independent power system operator for New England, ISO-New England.

A Public Open house was conducted and all property owners abutting the Project route were notified via mail for the upcoming public meeting. Eversource is committed to continue to engage the public about the proposed Project and undertake comprehensive community outreach activities in the months ahead and throughout Project construction.

Pending approvals, the Project is slated to begin construction in 2017, with an expected in-service date of 2018.
