Canton Conservation Commission Potential Volunteer and Scout Projects

Residents, students and scouts seeking volunteer projects may be interested in the project ideas listed below. These are only potential projects and can be expanded upon by any volunteer, scout or student looking for volunteer hours. - Trail and marker maintenance, and litter clean up
- GPS conservation land trails (to allow us to create detailed trail maps using GIS- GIS skills/access a plus)
- Construct kiosks
- Invasive species plant removal projects
- Office support including organizing open space property files, data entry, and filing
We are also looking for student interns for the 2019 Summer and Fall with the following backgrounds:
Business degree – to develop business plans for conservation properties
Biology/Botany/Environmental Science degree – to conduct surveys for flora and fauna
