Public Health Responsibilities

Sharps Collection and Disposal

Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, 8am-4pm, Tuesday, 8am-6pm, Friday, 8am-1pm.

Address: Pequitside Farm 79 Pleasant St Canton 

Sharps must be in a red biohazard container no larger than 9 x 9 x 6.5 inch. There is a $10 disposal fee. Containers may be purchased from the health department at a cost of $10 (includes disposal) Checks only accepted payable to the Canton Board of Health. All containers must be locked and labeled with the name of the individual dropping off the container, their phone number and address.


It is against the law in the state of Massachusetts to dispose of sharps in household trash.
