The Plumbing / Gas Division is responsible for ensuring public safety, health, and welfare insofar as they are affected by the installation of plumbing and gas systems and appliances.
Permits
Plumbing and gas permits are issued through our office to work on plumbing and gas systems, in all residential, commercial buildings and structures within the Town of Canton.
Inspector
The Plumbing/Gas Inspector enforces the Massachusetts State Fuel Gas and Plumbing Code 248 CMR 1.00-11.00 and any other applicable rules, regulations and laws related to plumbing and gas installation and safety. The Plumbing/Gas Inspector is responsible for performing underground, site, rough and final inspections on all plumbing and gas permits issued by this office.
