Borrowing policies

  • Renewals can be made in person, by phone, and online (Click the My Account link).
  • Renewals are limited for high demand items and items that have holds on them for other patrons.

  • Our checkout system will automatically add an extended loan fee to your borrower account for each item   retained past its due date that is not renewed. All items are charged $ .10 per day with the exception of
    DVDs which are $1.00 per day.

  • Borrowing privileges are automatically suspended when total fees due on your account exceed $5.00.
    Overdue fees may be paid at any OCLN library. 

  • Museum Passes (except those that do not need to be returned) are $5.00 per day if not returned by 11:00 AM the next day the Library is open following the day it is used.

  • Lost or damaged materials will be charged the list price of that item, or, when not available, a default price for the items in the lost material's category. If you have lost an item belonging to another library payment must be made by check made out to the owning library.
