Thursday 2nd: "Friends With Books" Open Book Discussion

Tuesday 7th: Richard Fulton, Dean of Students, Boston Latin School. Discussion and role play  of the 1849 Sarah Edwards desegregation case which formed the basis of Brown v the Board  of Education.  Canton Library Community Room 7:00p

Saturday 11th:  Miss Maudie Hats: crafts and stories. Ages 5 to 11. Space is limited. Sign-up in the Children’s Library. 3:00p  PHOTO

Sunday 12th: Open book discussion
Hearts & Stars Bookstore, 3:00p


Saturday 18th: Field Trip: The Museum of African American History, Boston. Reservations must be made by Friday March 10th.   A minimum of 20 reservations is necessary to hold the program.

Wednesday 22nd: Film presentation and discussion of To Kill a Mockingbird, led by Peter Kussell 7:00p   In the Canton Library Community Room.  

Friday 24th: Field Trip: Facing History and Ourselves, Speaker Terence Roberts, of the original Little Rock Nine. Nominal Bus Fee.  Leaving from Library at 6:00p  Reservation must be made by Friday March 17th.  A minimum of 20 reservations is necessary to hold the program. *

Wednesday 29th: THE Grand Book Discussion led by Sam Coale, Professor of English Literature, Wheaton College.  In the Canton Library Community Room 7:30p    Come all!

Friday 31st: Open book discussion

Tuesday 4th: Southern Cooking Demonstration with Chef Hanrahan, at Chateau Bleu,
Blue Hills Community College. 4:00p  $5.00 charge.  Limit 20.   Call Nancy Mark 828-5939 to register. 

Monday 10th: Intergenerational book discussion   MIddle school students meet after school with residents of Orchard Cove.  Discussion moderated by Canton teachers.  For  reservation call Diane Bellissimo  821-3215

Friday 7th: Field Trip:  Norfolk Superior Court, Dedham.   Tour and evocation of the Sacco Vanzetti Trial.  10:00a*

Tuesday, 11th:
"Killing  Mocking Birds With Sledgehammers: What Scout would see in today's justice system"     Lisa Thurau-Gray, Suffolk Law, Prof.    Presentation & discussion. Canton Library Community Room  7:00p.
