The Zoning Board of Appeals is an appointed Board which consists of three members and two alternate members. Each member serves a three-year term.

The Board meets on the second and fourth Thursday of each month in the Salah Hearing Room, Second Floor, Memorial Hall, 801 Washington Street, Canton, Massachusetts. The meetings start at 7:00 p.m. Public Hearings are published in the Canton Citizen. Meeting agendas and times are available on this site, at Meeting Minutes/Agendas and Calendar.   If you have any questions you can contact the Zoing Board secretary at 781-575-6589.

Applications for Zoning Board hearings are available at the Zoning Office located within the Building Department, Lower Level, Memorial Hall. Hearing times and dates are scheduled when a completed application is submitted.

The Zoning Board of Appeals deals with matters of density, parking, height and locations of buildings and structures, uses of buildings and structures, requirements for buildable lots, signs, earth removal, and uses as they pertain to zoning districts, and overlay districts.
