The transfer station accepts leaves, grass
clippings, brush and branches that are no more than 4 inches in diameter.
Yard waste may be left in paper bags. All other containers including plastic
bags must be emptied.

WASTE TRANSFER STICKERS
Stickers for the Yard Waste Transfer Station on Pine Street are now
on sale. They are available at Town Hall, DPW Administration,
Mondays-Fridays from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. and will be available at the Pine
Street Yard Waste Center.
Recycling Stickers may be purchased at the DPW Administration Office,
801 Washington St, Lower Level
for $10.00. Proof of residency and license plate number of
participating vehicle required each year for permit.

Recycling bins are collected every other
week on your regular trash collection day. Pick up a recycling
calendar or check with a neighbor to determine which weeks are
yours or call the Canton Recycling Info Line at (781) 575-6650..
If you've missed a collection or your calendar doesn't line up
with the collection schedule, call BFI at 1-800-244-4234
or 617-471-7900
Whenever a scheduled collection day falls on a holiday, that
day's collection and all remaining collections for the week will
be delayed by one day. Friday's collection will be on Saturday.
- Rinse all containers clean
- No plastic bags
- Set bins out by 7 a.m.
- Bins containing improper
materials will be left behind

Guidelines
- Newspapers/inserts
- Magazines, catalogs, phone
books
- Junk mail (remove plastic
windows)
- Office paper
- Brown paper bags
- Boxboard (cereal, shoe &
cracker boxes, etc. Remove plastic liners, no waxed paper)
- White AND colored paper
- Corrugated cardboard (flatten,
remove tape & string, no waxed cardboard) cut to
24 inches by 24 inches (max)
- All paper and cardboard must
be clean
- No plastic bags

Guidelines
- Glass bottles/jars (remove
lids, corks, etc. No broken or other
glass such as light bulbs, window or auto glass, dishes,
glasses, Pyrex)
- Aluminum, tin/steel cans &
lids (No paint or aerosol cans or other metal
item.)
- All plastic bottles & jars
(remove caps, lids, pumps & wraps. No plastic bags. No
motor oil or chemical containers)
- Milk& juice cartons, drink
boxes (remove straws & caps, may flatten)

- Christmas Trees - first
2 weeks in January. Watch local papers for hours & days.
- Yard Waste - leaves,

TV's & Computers Monitors: Screen must be intact and
must be placed inside the container marked "CRT Shed".
