COA Services and Programs Offered
The Council on Aging is responsible for identifying the
needs of and educating the
community about issues of people 60 and over, and providing or linking
elders with
programs and
services that meet their needs. The COA staff, with special
training, years of experience and an extensive resource file, is
able to direct clients to the appropriate resources, answer
questions about a variety of services, and if needed, make the
referral for those seeking assistance and provide follow-up to
insure that the needed assistance
has been rendered.

Transportation
Services
The Council on
Aging provides transportation services five days a week. Seniors as
well as
Canton residents who may be disabled individuals are transported to
doctor appointments, food shopping, errands, food pantry,
malls, pharmacies and other places as
deemed necessary. The COA also provides assistance in
obtaining transportation outside
of our service area
